Maisie

Ch Mabalakat Maisie May was the very first Maine Coon kitten born in our household, back in 1989. A gorgeous, loving and gentle giant, Maisie's judges never minded about the white tip to her tail (they would now!) as she became one of the first maine Coons in this country to be successfully shown, and win copious awards, at provisional, intermediate, and finally championship status. Sadly, Maisie succumbed to old age this year, at the grand old age of 18. She is very much missed by all of us.

LilyRumtumtugger Lilijana

Sadly, in the autumn of 2007, Lily died quietly in her sleep, a week after being spayed in preparation for going to her new home.

Marlon and PoloDecember 2005 was a sad time for us, as we lost our old neuter, Mabalakat Marlon. Marlon had been unwell for quite some time, and eventually, we had to make the hardest decision. Marlon was from our second ever litter, and was the friendliest cat we have ever known. No visitor to the house escaped a “head-bunt” by the cat who even when old and tatty, truly believed himself to be the most handsome cat ever! RIP old friend, all aches and pains gone now.

Jakatta Tabitha
In 2004 we lost our first cat since we started breeding in 1989. Tabitha reacted badly to being spayed and unfortunately could not be saved. This has left a big hole in our house, and has affected her best buddy Marlon, badly. In his grief, he has begun to pull out his fur. Those two were always curled up together and it is sad to see how much he misses her, as do we. Without Tabs in our lives and breeding program, we would not have many of our wonderful cats today, and we owe her an enormous debt. Rest in peace sweet little Tabs.
